An inevitable conclusion to my booze and vinyl afternoon-evening.

Records sleeves scattered across the floor, spilled booze and the arm of the player stuck loudly in the end groove of Katy Lied by Steely Dan. 3am eternal.

Steely Dan would do that to me too, no drink needed.

That's another thing you have in common with Mrs CJ. A loathing of Becker, Fagen and Zimmerman.

Sounds like the ultimate Dickensian law firm.

I had no idea Boris Becker had made an album; you live and learn.

It just shades it for me over SOE, so give it a few more whirls.

Just side one in the end,. First time I've played it, but there was some interesting stuff on there, and some less interesting stuff too.

(This used to be my favourite Nick Drake album, but I think it's my least favourite now, still good though.)

Five Leaves Left is my favourite ;)

Mine too, I think, though I really like the stripped down beauty of Pink Moon.

I think it's The Cello song that does it for me. Do you have an original copy? If not, is your copy ok?

I've got the Hannibal re-issue of the Fruit Tree box set from the 80s/90s.

I had a listen to Pink Moon today (MP3) and have to admit it's really good. I'd only listened to it once before, and gave it the brush-off...silly me

Playing Pink Moon now, it's a thing of simplistic beauty.
