Excellent funky big band jazz LP from Belgrade.

Plus pulled out my original of Mezzanine as it's all the rage 'round here at the moment. Still decent!

Hey, that's great news. It's been, what 25 years or so? One of the great bands, truly.

Where are they playing? I'll have a look online when I get home.

I'm going to see them in Leeds at the Brudenell Social Club, which I guess would be good for you too.

Blimey, yes that is fairly local and very soon. Wish I could go. I'm rehearsing a play for the next fortnight.

Enjoy the gig. As you'll know if you've been to Brudenell before it'll be a good venue to see Loop.

Shame you can't make it Charlie, should be good. I have to admit to being very excited, embarrassingly so for a man of my age.

I have been once before to the Brudenell, but I can't remember much about it, other than it wasn't overly large.

They're back together for a year or so, and there are more gigs planned for 2014, but I just had to see them asap, hence two days off and the long journey to Leeds.

There are clips on YouTube of the first comeback gig in London, it sounded great, though visually it was lacking. Loop need strobes and psychedelics IMO.

Yes they do need the strobes and psych light effects. That's how I remember them. Saw the when I was living down south (Northampton or North London) but can't remember where exactly. In my mind it's the same time-zone as Spacemen 3, appropriately enough.

Brudenhall is small, probably smaller than you remember it. Everytirme I go I think that.

Due to lots of theatre commitmemts I haven't got anything planned gig wise, which is a shame.

I'm still enjoying the Hovercraft LP, btw. It's immense.

Enjoy the Loop experience and report back when possible. Two of my mates are also going and trying to get me there too. Shame it's not possible.

The (other) show must go on!!

I certainly will. Will maybe do some record shopping on the Wednesday. I'm sure my mate knows all the best shops, but just in case, can you recommend anywhere?

I'm sure your mate will take you to Jumbo, Crash and Relics. The first two sell new vinyl, the latter is second hand stuff, slightly over-priced but some gems in there. Particularly downstairs. There's plenty of decent charity shops too.

The excellent record fair at the Corn Exchange is a weekend only deal, of course.

I'm sure you'll come across some good stuff somewhere.

Can you remind me of the name of the other Hovercraft LP. Plus any best suggestion for a place of purchase.

Thanks.
