I'd listen to them all, preferably with the rest of my kit, then decide.

Only you know what type of sound you like. Nobody else can answer this for you.

I personally would go for the Tannoy speakers as they have a bigger frequency response and I rather like the sound of Tannoys. However I agree that the choice of speakers is a very personal thing and you should listen to them both.

wowww , thats that then . thought one might be better than the other and i didint know .

im very very rural and wont be hearing them with my set up . was going to order them on the net

as the nearest store that sells speakers is 100 miles away . any how thanks for reply .

If you really can't get to the store, then find somewhere that will accept them back as long as all the packaging is intact. You wouldn't choose wallpaper over the phone and you can't choose speakers over the web, but needs must!

Study the pictures and finish carefully, and measure exactly where they are going - most people get the size wrong in their head!

Without listening, didn't bother me.

The first set, I kept for 8 years.

The second, I've had a while now. And sound amazing.

if you can't listen to them, just get a general idea of their characteristics from reviews etc.

then buy the ones you will enjoy the presence of in your room.
