Something that performs consistently well and lasts and lasts. My B&W MM-1 PC speakers, for example. And going by reviews, maybe the Marantz Model M1 too, as The Audiophile Man has just done (Paul Rigby).

No offense to you, but neither the above nor your PC speakers fall into that category nor will they in a year or a hundred.

Most generic modern gear is forgotten next week & some soon to be Landfill next year
Real Classics will be highly sought after for 50-100 years
