What is in next months 40-42 inch supertest?

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out between the KDL40NX703 and UE40C6530?

I'm swaying towards KDL40NX703, but should I wait till next months magazine?

Does anyone know which TV's will be featured in Octobers issue?

Shame the supertest will not include the following models:-

Panny 42 V20

Sony 40 NX 703

Samsung 40LEC750 (Lower priced 3D model)

LG 42 LE8900

yes me too its ashame WHF don't listen to there forums

maybe i would like to see the sony 40 EX 703 and a phillips amongst those aswell maybe the one thats in the next issue 7605, I'm really dissapointed that the panny v20 aint been review

looks like i'm going to have to look elsewhere

I think saying we don't listen to these forums is a little unfair, dangle07, but there are only so many TVs we can review in each issue, and we already review more sets each month than almost any other magazine.

hugely dissapointed the v20 STILL isn't there but at least the Sony hx703 is getting a review.you guys do listen to the forums as your posting on them all, its just disappointing you dont review the actual tv's that are most desired and talked about !!!!

As we've said before, we can only request: if the manufacturer is unable to supply, there's little we can do, given a limited budget to buy review samples.

We're disappointed not to have a V20 to review yet, too.

However, going back to the list you'll see the Panasonic TX-L42D25 - that's the 42in version of the Panasnoic set that wins our 32in Supertest in the current issue.

So, that's the big brother of a class-leading TV up against the winner of our last 40-42in Supertest (the Sony 'EX503) and six other new sets.

Again, these Forums have been calling for more use of previous winners in new tests, so that's just what we've done - not just here, but in a range of tests in the issue, where 2009 Award winners are pitched against new blood.

And that is a very good idea. Nice to see how new products compare to the current best buys/award winners.

But I too would have liked to see the Panasonic V20 as part of this group test. In my opinion it is far superior to any of the Panasonic LCD sets.
What a shame, but people should really blame Panasonic rather than WhatHifi.

thanks for giving me the chance to write the review andrew.

the panasonic has the best blacks ever, smashing the kuro out of the water, great contrast and an alround amazing set. The sound also was well above what any of the others could muster, if we had to fault the panasonic in some way it would be that it doesnt look as nice some of the other tv's.

we watched harry potter on the sony,while eating pop corn, we had so much fun.

Our verdict. The sony wins it by a mile 5 stars with a close second panasonic with 4 stars !!

How was that, can i have a job ?
