What HD channels would I get?

Hi. Just wanting to know - if I get Sky HD, do the HD channels (BBC, ITV, Sky1, ect.) show exactly the same programmes at the same times as the SD ones? I don't know what made me think of this, but I just had some idea that they only show certain programmes at certain times and the rest of the time it's just 'demo' stuff. I'm very tempted to improve the pictures of regular channels, but if they don't offer the same service, there doesn't seem to be much point. Ta.

Hi,

BBCHD runs some programmes and some demos - depends on time of day. It is not a mirror of BBC1 though.

SKY 1 HD is usually a mirror of SKY 1.

Sports 1 and 2 are replicated on Sports 1HD & 2 HD.

ITVHD is NOT on SKY at all - Channel 4HD usually shows the same as CH4.

There are others - upgrade and enjoy.

I've just had a thought. Where can I find out every channel I would get on FreeSat? Can anyone tell me here, or is there a website I can visit for the whole list? Thanks again.
