I wish to purchase a Blue Ray player, Amp and speakers, I would like to buy at intervals so as to be able to afford more, What do i do first, Does it matter that my tv is only 1080i, I have an all in one pioneer setup wich cost £1000 8years ago

Buy the BD player first, you'll get the benefit of improved pic quality and marginally better sound now. Then upgrade the audio IMO.
