What entry level amp?

Don´t take it personal and don´t be so "whathifi" advising always the same brands that by coincidence (not) are english or british.
There are other choices, often better choices for the same or less money.
Nothing complicated about it.
I live in the UK and generally recommend what I know/own, how could I otherwise. You are right though, there are other products worth considering.

Also consider second hand, you can grab an Audiolab for an absolute bargain.

Funnily enough when I originally bought my Rega Brio I was actually intending to buy an Audiolab from the dealer - probably the 6000, can't remember now.

Having asked me what music I liked and my other equipment (I had taken some CDs) he suggested setting up a demo to compare the Audiolab with "another" amp!

This was quickly set up with the same speakers I had at home - Focal Aria 926 - and I had a good listen to compare both amps. I very quickly could plainly observe that whilst the Audiolab was very pleasant to listen to by comparison the Rega Brio was much more dynamic and full bodied and "foot tapping" - switching back to the Audiolab gave me the impression it was just a bit tired and needed waking up! I walked out with the Brio under my arm and never regretted it.

This was a few years ago so things may have changed with later iterations of course.

Not had the pleasure of listening to the Brio but I recognise the quality of Rega amps.
I heard from some commentators, the Atoll I own is French version of the British Rega, similar tone and signature.
Apart from the fullness of the sound, the Atolls exhibit excellent resolution and detail.
I can see myself enjoying the sound from Rega's.

Not actually heard or know anything about the Atoll but that's not really surprising as I don't take too much interest in products these days apart from headphones/ streamers/DACs as due to age related hearing deficiencies I am limited to headphone only use!

I read your list of equipment with interest, most impressive, but no system in the bathroom or loo? 😳

Bathroom or loo?
Now that's an interesting thought, imagine, flushing the toilet to the sound of Beethoven's 5th Symphony 🙂, you go back and flush it again, and again, this is good!

I think my missus will kill me! 🤣
