Correct. Better stick to Iberian brands.
Don´t take it personal and don´t be so "whathifi" advising always the same brands that by coincidence (not) are english or british.
There are other choices, often better choices for the same or less money.
Nothing complicated about it.

I live in the UK and generally recommend what I know/own, how could I otherwise. You are right though, there are other products worth considering.

Also consider second hand, you can grab an Audiolab for an absolute bargain.

Funnily enough when I originally bought my Rega Brio I was actually intending to buy an Audiolab from the dealer - probably the 6000, can't remember now.

Having asked me what music I liked and my other equipment (I had taken some CDs) he suggested setting up a demo to compare the Audiolab with "another" amp!

This was quickly set up with the same speakers I had at home - Focal Aria 926 - and I had a good listen to compare both amps. I very quickly could plainly observe that whilst the Audiolab was very pleasant to listen to by comparison the Rega Brio was much more dynamic and full bodied and "foot tapping" - switching back to the Audiolab gave me the impression it was just a bit tired and needed waking up! I walked out with the Brio under my arm and never regretted it.

This was a few years ago so things may have changed with later iterations of course.
