Just been watching Ron Howard's 'Eight Days A Week': The Touring Years'.

Although most of the info shown on this film/documentary of The Beatles is well-known it's a good reference point and their following was bonkers beyond belief.

I really need to catch up on this. The last series I watched was when they lost reddwarf "it got miniaturised or something and they flew around in starbug all season. That's years ago.

Sounds like series 6. (What a series!)

Got a few to catch up on now. What a time to be alive. 😁

Can probably skip the one I was looking forward too though... 😂

That does look interesting, but not interesting enough for £70 on the blu ray box set!
I've had mine about 10 years. I think it cost me about £60 on DVD but that was cheaper than streaming it when it became available on Amazon. A few of the episodes where a bit meh but as a whole I think one of the best sci-fi series ever created. I hope the rumoured reboot doesn't ruin it.

Did you ever see the reboot of Battlestar Galactica? Again had some weaker bits, but we loved that.

I've also got that full box set on DVD😉. So much better than the cheesy late 70's TV series. I loved the original film from 1978 but the TV series that followed it, even as a kid I thought this is terrible

I was in the pub and watched something about Jimmy Savile, but with no sound and then realised it was Steve Coogan.

I found the series on iplayer and it's called 'The Reckoning' and I watched all 4 episodes.

Steve Coogan's rendition is superb and doesn't over do it with the mannerisms of the now thankfully deceased paedophile.

It's quite traumatic in places and a tough watch, but it does highlight the disbelief and cover ups etc.

I want Steve Coogan to do a final 6 episodes featuring Alan Partridge and then leave it alone.

Even now, after decades, I'm still watching his old stuff in 4:3 ratio and it's still amazingly funny.

I wouldn't class myself as her biggest fan, but the version of Love and Affection that she did on Jools Holland a ways back was just stellar.
Like any artist she'll have her pros and cons. This live performance from the Asylum London in 2021 is superb. The track 'Me Myself I' (15 mins into this vid) also demonstrates what a good guitarist she is.

The Woman in the Wall from Beeb1 - broadcast in September, but if we are going to watch a drama I wait until it's finished and so can be binged accordingly. Tale of a woman who was packed off to one of Ireland's Magdalene laundries and her child illegally adopted. Great performance from Ruth Jones, at least so far.
