I watch The IT Crowd every year. I miss it if I don't. I wish they'd done more, but it possibly came to an end when it was still really funny. Noel Fielding's character Richmond was greatly underused in my opinion.

Many here like Father Ted and I cannot stand it, with the only 'comedy' I hate more being Mrs Brown's Boys.

Dreadful.

That's strange Pod.
I can only assume you must be taking the programme 'subjects' too seriously.
They both contain farcical stuff from the brain of of Graham Linehan.
I like them because they're equally stupid.

Agree with you about Mrs Brown's boys. Quite popular though - which proves the point that comedy (or what passes for it) is almost as divisive as the subject of cables.

Agree with Mrs. Brown's Boys. Always feckin this and that.

Interesting piece of trivia about Father Ted: Edd China, ex-Wheeler Dealers mechanic, arranged all the special effects.

Blackadder's Christmas Carol on blu ray. Wouldn't have bought the box set at a frankly ludicrous £50, but got an Amazon gift cert for that amount and thougt I'd got to get something. Haven't looked at anything from the series themselves yet, but picture quality on BCC was a considerable step up from DVD. As it ought to be at £50...

If society doesn't want kids to hear bad language, then it should put the onus on parents to prevent this from happening, although I doubt there are many kids out there who have never heard foul language from their parents, or the media in general. They will hear it at school that's for sure. I am fed up of this 'blame society' stance. It's the bloody parents paying for the TV licence, Sky, internet, phone contracts etc. If they allow their kids to have a computer or TV in the kid's bedrooms, then they should monitor the content their kids are exposed to. It's the same issue with pornography. It's crappy parents having no responsibility, not society. Blame everyone but the parents. I'm sick of it. Rant over.

I didn't even know he'd died.
Nor that one of the others he played for was Stevie Wonder.

A co-worker of mine described his track 'Music' as 'bland'...can you believe? 🤨
Yes, he sadly died a year or two ago. I saw John Miles in concert at the Wimbledon theatre back in the early 80s. Incredibly talented multi musician.

Interesting piece of trivia. Miles was questioned regarding the Yorkshire Ripper in the late 70s. The connection, according to Police, was from his Zaragon album he wrote a track called "Nice Man Jack", obv about Jack the Ripper. He also performed live in the area the towns where the victims were found.

"Music" is a superb track, definitely sums up our collective love of music.
