Dave Gorman's Unchained America. He tries to drive across the US without eating at, staying at or filling up at any chain owned business. In the end it was a 2 hour film about him trying to find petrol stations. The book is better and more informative.

Recently watched.

'Bunny And The Bull'. Funny bits but also quite melancholy. Enjoyed it, but it suffered from being neither one thing nor the other.

'Up'. Really good. Still didn't quite top 'The Incredibles' as my fave Pixar movie, but it came close.

'Law Abiding Citizen'. Reaffirmed my faith in Gerrard Butler after 'Gamer'. Quite good in that there was no clear cut good Vs bad, which helped as you never knew exactly who was gonna be walking away the victor at the end.

'Paranormal Activity'. Proper creepy. The best kinds of horror movies are the ones that have the arms on your hairs standing, and 'Paranormal Activity' definitely succeded in that respect. OK. It suffered a tad at the end. I guess they painted themselves into a corner in escalating the tension, not leaving many options open.

Channel 4s Blitz Street about the effects of the bombing. My university dissertation was about the Blitz on Clydebank and this has been the best programme I have seen on the effects.

I finished season 2 of 'True blood', last night. I thought the last few episodes were a little weak. As a whole, though, I thought it was better than season 1.

I'm half way through season 4 of Dexter. You've got a treat in store. It's a real return to form after season 3. It takes a little while to adjust to John Lithgow of '3rd rock from the sun' being the bad guy, though. Don't worry, that's not a spoiler!

I am so jealous man that Dexter season 4 is being viewed by others and not me

My mate at work who downloaded S4 said the same thing about John Lithgow, can't wait

Still relate him though to Bigfoot and the Henderson, and the Trans in The World According to Garp!!!

I've just finished engineering a mini film festival where the highlights (for me anyway) were as follows.

A film called "NINE" with Daniel Day Lewis, Nicole Kidman and Fergie.
The cinematography blew me away and the soundtrack was really good.
Unfortunately, the film has already tanked at the box office, the rep said . . . .

The jewel in the crown for me had to be a new unreleased film called "FOUR LIONS" which is a new British comedy about suicide bombers.
I know, it sounds absurd but trust me, it's probably the funniest film you'll see this year.
They were talking about it on Sky News today.
Go see it when it gets released, it's scream funny.

Just went to see Iron Man 2. Really enjoyed it despite the kids behind us chatting (luckily it was
mostly too loud to hear them).
