As a massive classic prog fan, anyone care to recommend similar?
As a massive Porcupine Tree fan I salute your choice of Deadwing & In Absentia. If you like the more recent metal tendencies of PT then try out 2007's "Fear of a Blank Planet".
Going back a few years then you will get more of a less metal, soundscape Pink Floydian experience. Too many to mention but "Signify", "Stupid Dream" and "Lightbulb Sam" from the mid/late 90's are superb.
Steven Wilson is an absolute musical genius, with lots of different outlets for his music. Solo, Blackfield, and No-Man to name but three.
One last point, if you ever get chance go and see them live. Fantastic musicians one and all, but the drummer Gavin Harrison is out of this world.

Just listened FOABP - darn it, that's another one to add to the Amazon basket, along with Deadwing and In Absentia, plus Frenger and the new Muse, of course. Definitely my kind of thing - I think it's the vocal style and subtlety that appealed, along with the wonderfully atmospheric keyboards. Being a drummer meself, I know Gavin's style, and it's awesome! I'll go back and check some of the earlier stuff now.
Just trying some more off-piste stuff such as Flower Kings. BTW, if you fancy some great modern prog with a bit of humour, do please try The Tangent - all their stuff is on Spotify, and I'd love to know what you think.

Mercury Rev - in particular Snowflake Midnight but all are very good
The Beta Band - any and all.
The Durutti Column - stylish guitar driven, semi instrumental. I would start at the bottom with The Guitar and Other Machines and work your way up.
The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robot and Christmas On Mars, but I have yet to listen to all their albums.
David Sylvian - ex of Japan, but his solo work is very different with a melancolic, jazzy sound. Check out the tracks with Robert Fripp.
Bjork - Selmasongs, imaginative, which is saying something for a very creative artist.
