Which kind of amp and speakers do you have in your HiFi setup?

The notion an AV amp can't deliver SQ comparable to a dedicated 2 channel setup, or are some kind of compromise is another audiophool myth!

Plus the connectivity they offer isn't even comparable... If you can/do make use of it, of course.

Agree, the av amps I have are far superior to that Cambridge Audio crap I tried.

It's the bits you don't use that make them economically no viable in my opinion.
If I want a stereo system then that's what I get, a decent stereo integrated where the money has been spent on exactly that.
Having said that many amplifiers, including mine, will take all of the connections he speaks of apart from HDMI.
Unfortunately he is stuck in the Home Cinema scenario, not only does he want to add a sub he is also talking about a centre speaker.......
So, in my experience only Sony or Anthem AV amps give a good crack at both.That said I have never owned a Denon.
