if hes changed the sub settings on the Amp it will effect it. If wired.

Tried that. Nothing I tried worked, I tried change settings, calibrating it but nothing.

plug it to another Amp see if its the Sub also check the cable

Sub is working fine. Setting up Pioneer amps are always difficult because you have to change the setting from large to small for the front speakers and then for the sub to work, which I have tried that too.

The green light went on earlier to say it was on.

I didn’t have these problems with the Denon or Sony amps…

HDMI, sub inputs and connecting to my TV and Blu-ray player, I am not sure if all stereo amps include all these things?

To be honest I really want the Sony AN1000 it’s fantastic!

Some do have these like the Marantz i told you about PM7000N has it all.

Plus the connectivity they offer isn't even comparable... If you can/do make use of it, of course.

Agree, the av amps I have are far superior to that Cambridge Audio crap I tried.

It’s ok, Shrek, I will just keep with 2 channel stereo setup with my Pioneer because the Sony isn’t as good as my Pioneer and the Denon definitely ain’t! 🙂

It's the bits you don't use that make them economically no viable in my opinion.
If I want a stereo system then that's what I get, a decent stereo integrated where the money has been spent on exactly that.
Having said that many amplifiers, including mine, will take all of the connections he speaks of apart from HDMI.
Unfortunately he is stuck in the Home Cinema scenario, not only does he want to add a sub he is also talking about a centre speaker.......
So, in my experience only Sony or Anthem AV amps give a good crack at both.That said I have never owned a Denon.
