Anybody remember these, Stone The Crows “Continuous Performance” on vinyl.
The lead singer was Maggie Bell who most people will know from singing the theme tune to Taggart. “No Mean City” .. The guitarist Leslie Harvey (brother of Alex I think) was killed. I think he was electrocuted on stage at a gig in Swansea if my memory is correct. (Apologises to everyone if I am incorrect)
Threshold are a great proggy-metal band who deserve more recognition. These are my three favourite albums of theirs and are well worth checking out. They will also give your system a good work out with some great bass lines.
After Lost Angeles Rainbow post featuring Rithchie Blackmore here he is today in his most recent set up which has now been running for a good ten years or so. `Secret Voyage` is a welcome return to form for Blackmore`s Night after the patchy `Village Lanterne` which preceded it. Also a welcome first band release on vinyl.
Frankly, if I keep getting hit with albums this good from bands over a decade old I'm going to have to rethink my grouchy theories on the short half-life of creative talent. Anyway, you can hear a full Sonic Youth Eternal Review on the Leisure Lab's Album Reviews channel.
How do you rate Testament? I'm nipping over to the big smoke with my daughter next month and fancy catching a gig...Testament are playing Shepherds Bush on 24th July and I'm wondering if they're worth seeing?
