Spirogyra - `A Canterbury Tale`-Anthology Double CD.

I've no idea who that band are or what they sound like but judging by that cover it looks like something I'll enjoy.

You might well do Mr R. I`ve noticed by your selections you have a broad musical palette. Genre is Acid-Folk. There are some great `drift away` tracks particularly on songs where Barbara Gaskin takes lead vocal. Martin Cockerham`s voice might be an acquired taste to some but I think it fits the music very well. They only made three albums and if I was you I`d go on you tube and start with the third one called `Bells, Boots and Shambles` and see what you think. Many years ago I knew someone with this album and it didn`t grab me but much later when I developed a greater appreciation of folk music in general I suddenly got it! This anthology by the way has all three albums plus some extras but can be quite hard to find nowadays at a decent price. Always like to listen to this sort of stuff and bands like Fairport Convention when the sun comes out!

I have no boundaries when it comes to music. You name me a style of music and I'll show you 5 albums I love from that style of music. I guess you could say that I'm very open when it cames my musical tastes. I'll never understand why most people don't enjoy listening to lots of different styles of music, their loss I guess.

I'm listening to my favourie hardcore punk album which is called Yours truly by the mighty Sick Of It All. It contains lots of my favorite Sick Of It All songs including the song Cruelty which is a great anti-racism song (all racists are dumb). All punk fans should have this album in their collection.

Listening to the new album What Have We Become by Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott (Beautiful South).
Sounds ok, although I did walk out of a BS concert once.

Glen Campbell - `Sings the Best of Jimmy Webb 1967-92`.

Special singer + Special songwriter = Very special music.

Been listening to some new vinyl - Frankie Goes To Hollywood ''Welcome To The Pleasuredome'', Jack White ''Blunderbuss'' & The Black Keys ''Turn Blue''

The early morning listening album is In the acoustic guitar album In between dreams by the great Jack Johnson. I Love Jack's music and this my favourite album by Jack. Beautiful stuff.

I'm listening to the gothic metal masterpiece October rust by Type O Negative. This is probably my all time favourite album. Sublime stuff.

My son`s a big fan. Got him the roadrunner box set last christmas and I`ll be having a listen myself. Got `Bloody Kisses` in my i-tunes library ready to go. Everytime I pass my son`s room and he`s playing them I always think how good they sound.

Marty Balin - `Balin`/`Lucky` 2-for-1 CD.

Nice way to finish the evening. His strongest material is to be found with Jefferson Airplane/Starship but these first two solo albums are still a good listen. Always liked Marty`s relaxed vocal style.
