Took delivery of this CD yesterday, and as I currently don't have a decent CD player I'm listening to a FLAC rip. It sounds absolutely marvellous. I must get a bit more EST sometime..

First time in a VERY long time I've been pinned to my seat by an album - this is a work of genius IMO. Wouldn't be 100% surprised if Muse said this influenced some of their stuff either. Utterly superb album. Snagged the US copy on WEA in Oxfam music this afternoon; so glad I popped in!

Arena - `Contagion` CD
Arena really do play superior Neo-prog. This album needs to be played through a few times as most of the tracks aren`t as instantly `catchy` as they are on previous albums. It`s well worth it though. To get the full story you need to get the two EP`s which accompany the album called `Contagious` and `Contagium`. Don`t think this band are on Spotify but you can hear them on Youtube. Any purchasing of Arena material is best done through the Verglas website as for some reason Amazon are charging between £15 and £22 for their albums?!

I also have a re-issue copy on `marble` effect vinyl but the one to get is an original black vinyl copy which is worth a great deal of money. This is one of those obscure early 1970`s progressive/psychedelic/fuzzy guitar rock albums and it is well worth a listen. Gets stronger as the album progresses. This cd re-issue has four bonus tracks which aren`t bad I have to say.
Track 5 is called `The Cat` and is highly recommended if you are planning a `groovy` party anytime soon. Wear a tie-dye t-shirt or colourful neckerchief for maximum effect!
