Matt Monro - `The Complete Singles Collection` 5 CD set. From one great voice to another. I bought this at the end of last year at a staggeringly low price for a five cd set. The price has sneaked up a bit recently but it`s still fantastic value.

I really like the real version, Planet Rock love playing it late at night. I was listening to lots of live versions then came across that one, i don't mind it to be honest. I don't like the Chipmunks in general but i quite like their version of that song.

Hi Mickey, are you like myself a member of the lucky 100 club as in those who were fortunate to get the limited version of the `Phoenix Suite`? Mine arrived last Saturday and I`ve been dying to open it but haven`t as yet because of the wax seal. Do I keep it mint or open it? That`s the dilemna.

Survivor - `Caught In The Game` CD Remaster.

Been listening to my new Survivor re-issues by Rock Candy. They are sounding great and I`ve really been enjoying reading the liner notes in each album. `Caught In The Game` was badly overlooked back in it`s day which is a shame. Not their best record but certainly very decent. When I put this album on I`d forgotten to turn down the headphone amp from my last listen which was a vinyl record and you need to turn the volume up a fair bit for listening to vinyl. Well, the opening riff on the album is a real stonker and hearing it accidentally at such a loud volume really blew me out of my seat! Not recommended I guess because of potential hearing damage but it did remind me of what a cracking riff the opening track (which is actually the title track)truly is. Recommended to all riff lovers everywhere.

Genesis - `Trespass` SACD/DVD from the 1970-75 box set.

Survivor - `When Seconds Count` remastered CD. This album has for many years been my favourite Survivor album. Loads of great songs and singer Jimi Jamison was on top form. `Burning Heart` from Rocky 1V was supposed to have been included on the album but was left off because of contractual problems. Shame as it would have helped sales which were rather disappointing after the big hit they`d had with their previous release `Vital Signs`. Well, on this re-issue `Burning Heart` has been included as a bonus track. Even though this is just my favourite the best starting point for collecting this vastly underrated band is `Vital Signs`.
