Les Miserables - Original London Cast Double cd. The undisputed king of musicals. Highlights are too numerous to mention.
Agree entirely absolutely brilliant show.

Survivor you need to get the 25th anniversary concert Blu-ray which is fabulous.

You are quite right Lost. Birthday next month so I think I`ll start dropping hints. It was selling at a decent price last time I looked. I`ve got the tenth anniversary show on standard dvd but now we have a PS3 I do fancy the 25th on Blu-ray.

Andy Williams - `Born Free`/`Love,Andy` 2 for 1 cd. I love these two albums on one cd sets. There`s quite a few about particulary with older recordings when albums tended to be shorter than they are today. The Andy Williams re-issues can vary in price quite a bit but this was one of the cheaper ones and is very good value indeed. I like looking for hidden gems on old studio albums which have been forgotten and never turn up on best of collections. These two albums were originally both released in 1967.

Iron Maiden - `Brave New World` CD After a successful spell as a solo artist singer/writer Bruce Dickinson re-joined Iron Maiden and this was the first album they made during his second (and still current) spell with the band. For me it`s one of their strongest releases ever. Got the two disc vinyl but it`s a picture disc so I play the cd. If you`re a big Maiden fan you`ll already have it but if you`ve only got `Number of the Beast` or a compilation then I`d recommend adding this to your collection.

The staggeringly talented guitarist Buckethead. Thirty albums released and I had never heard of him till today. AFAIK his work is instrumental and based round is prog guitar playing. Presently listening to Captain Eo's Voyage

and here is an example of his musicianship......

AC/DC - `Highway To Hell` CD There tends to be two camps for the best ever AC/DC album. The `Highway To Hell` camp and the `Back In Black` camp. I`m in the `Highway` one.

Richard and Linda Thompson - `I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight` CD An absolutely essential folk classic. These two used to be great together.

Manowar - `Battle Hymns` CD The loudest band on the planet! My son is actually on his way up the M1 right now to see Manowar`s only UK show at Birmingham this evening where they will play this, the band`s debut album in it`s entirety. Death to false metal!!

Barbra Streisand - `Guilty Too` This was never going to trouble the original `Guilty` album sales wise but it is a very pleasant listen nonetheless.

Scott Walker - `Scott 4` CD What a voice! It`s hard to believe that just a year and a half after `Scott 2` reached the number one spot this didn`t even chart. Astonishing.
