Francisco López - Machines

New release from this sound artist - very good it is too. Using field recordings of various pieces of machinery as raw material he has created some very subtle sound works. Certainly one of his better recent releases.

As you like Lars Horntveth/JJ, try out Red Snapper, they have a similar(ish) style to LH/JJ!

Either A Pale Blue Dot or Red Snapper would be the albums i'd suggest to get you started.

I think they're available on Spotify,if not they definitely are on WE7.

Daveh, loads of Red Snapper on Spotify, so downloading some as I type. Presently listening to more Post Rock instrumental with Germany's Long Distance Calling and the album 'Avoid the Light'. It sounds like Porcupine Tree, without any vocals.

Red Snapper-A Pale Blue Dot

Excellent stuff. I noticed that on Spotify a recommendation for another band to try is Yppah. They are a Texan Post Rock, jazz, psychedellic, electronic fusion band with a lively uptempo sound. I have been listening to them for a while and this is really good...

Yppah = Happy backwards. It only took me about 3 years to notice that!

More traditional prog rock from Crippled Black Phoenix and the album '200 tons of bad luck'. Pink Floyd and blues influences come through to make a darker more mellancholic sound.........

From Sweden, Graveyard and their album also 'Graveyard'. This is good old 1970s heavy rock and will appeal to fans of Black Sabbath and Wolfmother.
