Motorpsycho-Black Hole/Blank Canvas

Ahh Motorpsycho, brilliant stuff.

Presently with Danish folk, orchestral, post rock with choral harmonising vocals sung in Danish and English. Very hard to define, but it is quite mellow and haunting or floaty and very thoughtful. Best of all, they are touring in the UK and I am may get to see my first Scandinavain band, yipee! They are called Efterklang and the album is 'Parades'.

Just so as to include Austria, the band is called Gandalf and is primarily the work of this chap...

who is called Heinz Stobl. He describes himself as a 'painter of musical landscapes' and he has benn bringing out numerous albums since 1980. This would appeal to fans of Enya and people who buy relaxation music from craft shops.

Not sure whether this is going to be one of those albums that grows on you,or whether i just plain don't like it!

Either way, it's no Mezzanine......

I think it's a grower, though there are a few weak tracks compared to the other albums. Babel, Girl I Love You and Atlas Air are instant favourites.
