Found this lot on Gnod: Porcupine Tree - In Absentia. Definitely going to try more of this, fantastic stuff.

Tarental from San Francisco. They have a mix of psychedellic and rock which produces instrumentals that remind me of a mix between Pink Floyd circa 1970s and Brian Eno. Excellent stuff and the album is called 'From Bone to Satellite'. Then Sweden's EF and more Sigur Ros like ambient music. The album is 'I am responsible'. Also excellent.

sonny's story ... Brownie McGee and Terry Sonny Sing ... Sonny Terry's washboard Band (not as good as the others) ... and Sonny's story (those are the ones in my collection)

if you want something a bit different listen to Muddy Waters Folk singer (very good) aswelll as Guy Davis (chocolate to the bone is one of my favs)

From the post rock instrumental genre, but in a review this album by Germany's Couch was described as Post pop, which I can understand. Also described as similar in style to Neu!, but I much prefer this....................

Ansley Lister. Blimey, haven't listened to that for years! Good choice dim_span.

I just dug this gem out from my hidden stack of CDs. It's my girlfriend's and has some nice tracks on it, notably No Fear of Falling. I'd recommend people buying this track alone or at least Spotifying it!

Natural History by I Am Kloot

2 recent albums that have really struck a chord with me.

The Midlake gets better with every listen. It manages to pay tribute to its influences (Pentangle, Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention) without ever sounding like pastiche or some sort of pale shadow. It is a beautiful record with a sound of its own and it has several moments which move me almost to tears. It is an album in the proper, old fashioned sense - a collection of songs which flows and sound like they belong together.

The Mumford & Sons takes up some of the sound of Fleet Foxes but does it better with more variety across the album. Again, an excellent collection of songs.

Remember this day. One of the 3 best albums in my collection. Awesomely good on all fronts.

Two superb, but completely different, discs. Benedetti plays with such sensitivity that you remain completely enchanted throughout the CD. 'Crisis...' is one of Supertramp's best albums and full of superb songs.
