fr0g:Big Chris:Xentrix - For Whose Advantage? I see the albums have been re-released. I remember watching them live with Skyclad in Manchester many moons ago. Were a good band.
I`ve got an album by Skyclad!
I got the first 2, then my tastes changed. Still like them, but unfortunately mislaid the 1st one. Still prefer Sabbat, especially Dreamweaver(reflections of our yesterdays)... awesome album. It's funny you say your tastes change, as 'Kin' (The album after 'Shattered Existence' & 'For Whose Advantage?') Was a complete departure from earlier stuff. Gone was the speed, (on the whole) and the whole album was much slower. It's also a more morose album. I still love it, but it's not really an album to crank and mosh to! 🙂 Oh yeah. Survivor? I bought a Skyclad album once (at 'Our Price' no less!) I returned it as it was way too poncey, If I remember I hated the vocals. But I was young and a thrasher, maybe I'd appreciate it more these days.
The Skyclad album I own is `Prince of the Poverty Line` which I have on vinyl. To be honest it`s been a long time since I last played it and I can`t remember enough about it to be too specific on my thoughts about the music. I shall have to dig it out and give it another listen. From what I do remember it was a little `different` and I wouldn`t call it poncey when compared to some other albums I have in my collection!
