Gus Gus and Death in Vegas for some electronica for a change. Neither are dance as such. The rhythms and beats are there, but they do not repeat endlessly accompanied to some wailing songstress who is going 'higher and higher'. They are more imaginative than that.

Fabulous, funky, pop, rock that has a bit of a 1980s grove to it, and I can't think of another band to make a comparison of sound to. My favourite track is the foot tapping, danceable 'The Architect'.

Paul Simon - Graceland via Spotify

I can't seem to get that bass guitar from The boy in the bubble out of my head......arrrgghhhhh. I have been humming that at work for almost two weeks now.

Drummerdave:Tortoise - excellent. Been listening to their new one, Beacons of Ancestorship, tis pretty good.

Yeah, haven't given the new one a proper spin yet... I lost interest a bit when Standards came out. I always seem to go back to the 1st three LP's, though.

Standards wasn't great. The only other ones I've heard are the first one and TNT.
