Using CD Player Analogue/Digital Outputs at the same time

My CD player (Sonneteer) has both analogue and a coax digital out - will connecting both outs at the same time (ie analogue to stereo amp, digital to AV amp) cause the CD player any damage? Will this ineed work, or will it just see that one is connected, and ignore the other?

No good reason for doing so btw - just wanting to have a tinker and see how the two compare.

Will depend on the model, but mine works both at the same time no problems.

No, no damage at all, though some eagle-eared pundits reckon the sound from the analogue outputs is slightly affected by the digital output being in use. Some high-end players have the option of turning off the digital output, and some manufacturers have built players without digital outputs for the same reason.
