Have a Cyrus 3I amp, and just bagged an Ebay bargain or a PSX-R. Can anyone advise how to adjust the 3i to work with the PSX-R. Understand this is quite simple and not worth sending off to Cyrus for them to do. If anyone can send me some detailed instruction on how to do this, or send a link, I would be grateful.

Also, anyone think this is gonna be a good upgrade ????

Is it not the case that you must remove the fuses so the old powersuply is disconected, like it whas with the cyrus two and the old psx.

I wanted to connect a old psx to a 8 v2 but the voltages do not match.

My 8 v2 will not sound any better with the psx-r as you can read in my last post.

Something must be totaly wrong with the psx-r connection internally in the 8 v2.

Or maybe my psx-r is broke.

You can mail cyrus for this problem, its possible they say.

look on the unofficial cyrus forum - click forum at top then when in forum click articles and last one on first page - can't post link

there are detailed instructions there - don't think its a big job as was looking with the 7 which is about 8 screws on the base plate and swapping over the junction on the power supply left to right on both sides that are pull and push tabs so no major issues

if unsure email cyrus and sure they will send you instructions

guess you just bought the one for £100 quid thats a bargain don't know why it didn't come up in my searches as been looking last couple of days for one - think would be really annoyed if the seller as must have been a mistake somewhere as these reg go for in excess of £250 - lucky you
