I'm looking at buying a 37" Panasonic LCD and can't figure out the difference between the TX-37LZD80 and the TX-37LZD800. Apart from the extra zero that is!

They both appear to be full 1080 sets but there's a couple of hundred quid difference - but what else?

Advise greatfully recieved!

A very quick glance at the specs shows the following differences (There's probably more differences)

Extras on the TX-37LZD800 model.

Clear panel

100 Hz Motion Picture Pro Y (Motion Picture Pro2)

SRS TruSurround XT

1 more HDMI connector (4)

With the 800 being the top of the range it has the more advanced software 'trickery'. The sound is also upgraded and if you look closely at a picture of the 800 you can see that the speakers are actually placed on each end of the TV running down the full length of the casing.

Another main difference is the 'Clear' panel, you would really need to see this in store to see if its something you like (some owners have complained of reflections, others love it)

Personally I think a good compromise between the two models is the TX37LZD85

Thanks very much for the info.

Having done some sums, I probably can't stretch to the '800 or the '85. Amazon are doing the '80 for £629 at the moment which seems like a blinding deal.
