thoughts on this set

Hey guys,

Recently bought my very first turntable (Audio-Technica LP60) and was looking for a low-budget sound system since then.

Any thoughs/advices on this set:

Speakers - Elac Debut B5

Amplifier - Rotel RA-10

Turntable is a priority but any other device will be used as well. Am i doing it right since i am total beginner? or should I look for something different? Thanks.

I have not heard your turntable but the amplifier is well regarded. I did hear the new Elac speakers at the Bristol show in February, and I was very impressed. They were using deliberately top end gear to drive them, however. I suggest you hear the Rotel with the Elacs before deciding, along with other combinations your dealer suggests.
