Sorry Ben

Obviously depends what kind of film she likes.

It's not a horror, it's not overly violent, it's easy to follow, it's not comparable to anything else I've ever seen

Is one film a month too long a time-frame? Does film club discussion lose momentum if it takes us that long to watch the film? Might we tighten this window?

Just some questions I thought I'd throw out there.

Premature. My experience with a book club is that there is understandable enthusiasm to shorten the gap but this leads to people not reading the book and greater pressure for those that do. Let's see how it goes before a rule change. Nothing to stop discussion of interesting films on this thread, including the choices which did not make the cut.

Though reading a book typically involves a greater investment in terms of time than watching a film. And what makes you think I'm premature! :O

So, myself and Strapped have seen it, Ben is waiting to watch it, John is waiting to receive it, that leaves Expat and Outlaw.

Have you guys received the film yet? Watched it?

Hi there,

Hopefully I will be able to see it on Lovefilm this weekend.

I was worried that I would be the last to view it, so it is a relief to see that there are others who have yet to receive it.

If that's what it has to be John, but it's a very visually striking film, so would look better on a bigger tv.

Hope you enjoy it anyway.

Oh, and do invite Ms Newsome, she has a projector and eclectic taste and I will go round her house. She also has wine, a propos of nothing.

Just lie to her and tell her she's an honoury member John. Got to be easier than watching on a laptop.

Will laptop and headphones do?

I hope you won't do this every time! Whilst I can't imagine many blockbusters are going to recommended, I hope at least one of my three will have some PQ and SQ positives.

I probably will, actually - my very best place for watching films is on the train morning and night. As it was, my attempts to watch it last night were thwarted at every turn by interruption so I'm going to have another go on Monday.

I can't discuss the film, so you'll have to wait Ben.

Outlaw, it's worth every cent.

I'll be away with work until Friday evening, with no WiFi, so should discussion begin (which seems unlikely), I'll be reliant on my phone and 3G, which might prove difficult.

And Outlaw, don't watch too much on You Tube, you'll ruin the surprises.
