Just watched 'The Thing' on Blu-Ray. Fab, of course. However, I enabled the 'U-Control' feature, which means evey now and then a picture-in-picture pops up which has the director or producer or whoever explaining something about that particular part of the film. However, whilst the picture popped up it had no sound. I had enabled the sound for picture in picture on the blu-ray menu before starting. Any ideas why no sound? My kit is a Panasonic TX-L37G10 and Panasonic SC-BT200 home cinema system. Thanks.

Is that the same as enabling 'picture in picture' sound on the BR menu? If so, I have that set to 'high'. If not, how do I do that? Thanks.

I encountered the same problem with a similar feature on the 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' Blu-ray. I never did get to the bottom of it, so I'm also curious if anyone has any suggestions.

Just looked online. Refer to the top half of page 22. The function works on my copy. It is a Sony player though but I can't see the disc causing any problems for you. If it works this what you will need to do for a lot of commentary style tracks.

Had the same problem with the Matrix Trilogy.

I assume you have your bluray's audio set to direct so your amp is decoding HD audio? Reset to mixed, let the bluray decode and your have sound.

Not many discs have this set up so change setting back to direct, if you prefer once you've watched the extra

Lets try NSYGrinders response - page 22 or your manual(http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SCBT200.PDF):

Playing secondary video (picture-in-picture) and secondary audio

To turn on/off audio with the secondary video

1 Press [DISPLAY].

2 Press [3, 4] to select the "Disc" menu and press [1].

3 Press [3, 4] to select the "Signal Type" menu and press [OK].

4 Press [3, 4] to select the "Soundtrack" under "Secondary Video" menu and

press [1].

5 Press [3, 4] to select the "On" or "Off".

When "On" is selected, press [1] and then press [3, 4] to select the language.

6 Press [RETURN] to exit.

Thanks to you all - just found that too. It's page 21 in the UK version of the manual (and other bits on pages 35 and 38). I'll give it a go when the nipper isn't around. Not sure how he'd cope with 'The Thing' on a Sunday morning. Thanks again.
