The price is definitely not right

I’m all for supporting local businesses but my last two trips to local record shops have been very disappointing.

Pricing is now way beyond what I’m willing to pay for second hand/used records.

It is much cheaper finding brand new records on amazon and other online stores, not just by the odd quid or two, but £10 and more, some were £65 for an album. That’s just plain ridiculous to me.

On both occasions I visited in the afternoon, and both shops were empty. That pretty much summed it up for me.

Sadly, that’s two more places I won’t even bother going to anymore.

In all honesty, I would rather buy a brand new copy of an album for under 20 quid than pay an artificially inflated price for a used, 20+ year old record, with god knows how much use/abuse .

Really not bothered about discogs either. You get the same there.

Im gonna stick to new from now on.
