Digital isn't the impervious signal that many seem to think it is - all "ones and zeros" doesn't always cut it, especially when it actually isn't ones and zeros. You can boil digital down to its basics if you like, and if that gives you the info you need to justify your views, fine. But that doesn't make it the truth.

You havent really said anything meaningful there at all. I mentioned jitter. That isnt just about the ones and zeros. What are you actually trying to say?

If you feel a £230 DAC and a £150 amp are the be all and end all of audio, more power to you.

Do you just want be to repeat that I disagree with your post? It's not a stupid clickbait video.

This guy is professional and technical and does know what he's talking about. If you feed a DAC with a digital input of binary information from any medium, it will be handled the same way.

A CD will supply binary information to a DAC at 1411 kbps. This will be converted to an analogue waveform by the DAC and with error correction, none of the zeros will be turned into a one and none of the ones will be turned into a zero.

This guy proved a signal can be resampled and reprocessed without anyone able to hear any degradation in sound quality.

I've realised over the last 3 years on this forum that people just post any old bollox and expect to get away with it.

So many vague and vacuous rantings, which don't really add any flesh to the bones of the subject being discussed.

One thing I've learned in life,, including wasting my time on this forum, is that you can't win an argument with an idiot.

I hope the moderators allow me this post, as this will be my final comments on this forum.

I've had great chats with many, but also shaken my head at some of the posts on here.

Now we see the true meaning behind your post. Ignore all the scientific evidence and just call someone tight. You're ignoring scientific evidence.

The last person who came to see me tried two loudspeakers - one a neutral, sealed box design, from a manufacturer known for producing monitor loudspeakers for studios - the other from a well known brand which in comparison to the other speaker, sounded obviously coloured - which one do you think they purchased?

Producing scientific evidence in a hobby which is predominantly subjective is a pointless exercise outside of the ARSe forum. Very few people are going to choose any aspect of their system purely based on measurements. If you do, fair play to you, but don't then bang on to everyone else about how they're wrong for choosing a system in a different way to you. This is a hobby, not a competitive sport. Listening to music is supposed to be a relaxing, enjoyable hobby, not one where you tell everyone they're wrong.

The performance of a DAC is not subjective. It's all based on solid engineering and science.

The enjoyment of music is subjective.

Some people seem to confuse the two.
