So when you go to buy a car, a pair of shoes, a TV, or even a pint of milk, do you demand to know the buy in price and how much they're going to make out of it? It's a confidential thing, and quite rightly so, as most people don't understand the whole process (manufacturing/shipping etc), or what a manufacturer's or distributor's costs involved are in order to provide local back up services, promotion, advertising, etc etc. People just usually associate the price with a finished product, ignoring everything involved right back to obtaining the raw materials.The same could be said of every hifi dealer/salesperson.
I've never met one who's been upfront or transparent about how much profit/commission they're earning from any given component incidentally....
