Hello all, I'm new here, so my first question is are super tweeters good or is this just a myth.

They exist and can be quite stunning with the right speakers.

Tannoy make some beautiful wooden ones to go with their Prestige range of speakers and Townshend make some impressive ones that matchwell with almost anything we've heard them with at the right level..

Is this just a curiosity or are you considering some for your system?

The rational is that although we cannot hear beyond the upper range of hearing limits (over 20kHz) the frequencies that are up there affect the audible ones we can hear (harmonics) and so shape the sound. All I can say is that we have sold these devices on a sale or return basis-like all hi-fi-because you cannot predict what the customer will hear.
