SUPER ELITE XBOX 360

Hi,

I've recently bought a new super elite xbox 360 and i'm wanting to link it up to my old Denon DHT-500 surround sound system. But my DHT-500 dosn't have a HDMI connection. what is the best way to get connected. My xbox is linked upto a Sony W3000 LCD TV via an Chord Company Supershield HDMI 1.3b cable.

I thought the HDMI cable that came with the Elite came with the optical adaptor that allowed you to connect an optical cable into your AV amp. If it doesn't do a search on Google for "xbox hdmi optical adapter" and you'll see quite a few results on where you can get one.

It has a connection for an optical cable, but the cable isn't included.

unfortunately is doesn't have a connection for an optical cable, my xbox 360 did on the AV adaptor but this new hasn't.

Seems strange, I've read from most places that it should do.
