Sub phase to 180* in 2.1 setup

Setting the phase control to 180 degrees reverses the polarity of the subwoofer. ... When you reverse the polarity of a subwoofer, the subwoofer's driver moves inward while all other speaker drivers in the system are moving outward.

Above is what it doesn and it is mostly applied when placing the sub against a backwall.

But..

It sounds quite right as an alternative in a wider 2.1 setup with both my Wharfedale diamond 11.2s both in the corners on shelves and a single sub positioned exactly in the middle.

It is like it has a tiny fraction of a groove and making the bass signature warmer.

Who else is doing it wrong on purpose? :)
