Streaming HD content to my amp/receiver and to my TV

What equipment would i need to stream hd films/content to my amp/receiver and on to my tv. ideally i would like something discreet that will sit alongside my amp but i dont have a clue what the options are.

I have the Denon 4308a with wifi but i dont think that will stream movie content.

not got that far yet just wondering how i could do it. ie from my pc or should i look more towards one of these

Also look at popcorn hour (pretty much the same as the link you posted) and Apple TV (which people seem to love on here but I think its a bit overrated TBH).

If you go down the PC route make sure it is a quiet one. Also worth looking at the Mac Mini (though buy 2nd hand as the new cost of these is over the top for the spec).
