spotify stops

What is wrong - after 10 mins my laptop seems to stop playing spotify streaming music via the usb to dac, why ? It's probably something I need to do to my laptop going into standby ... but I can't spot what to do

Help please ... cheers

Hi, some options are:

1. Control Panel > Power Options to setting timing of screen / hd / standby options

2. Screen saver off (right click on screen desktop) > properties or something

3. Go to the options of the (Atheros?) WiFi card: Control Panel > System > Hardware tab > Device Manager > WiFi card and uncheck power saving, sleep mode, and roaming options if available.

BTW, much more options in a WiFi Atheros modded driver can be found at http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/128-atheros-chipset/. Allows you to deselect the normal, aggressive roaming of the card looking for new networks that may cause interrupts..

Spotify is beta software, and notoriously buggy...
