i prefer it brings girls to the yard 😇Maybe your CD brings all the boys to the yard?
It depends on whether your streamer supports lossless audio and it is switched on in the app and player. My CD sounds much better than any stream ive tried Apple and Spotify it sounds like its congested restricted got a cold .maybe its my set up ? its convenient thats all.
Iam not a big streamer and had only ever used basic Spotify not for serious listening ,i then tried Apple Music with a free trial that sounded much better. It depends on whether your streamer supports lossless audio and it is switched on in the app and player.
(Congested normally means you are playing the lossy format or there is something seriously wrong)

Ah, the basic service has limited quality so I'm not surprised it sounded poor.Iam not a big streamer and had only ever used basic Spotify
Just to clarify. How is the CD connected to your amp?More recently i have been using my CD60 DAC to play CDS rather than the RCA on the CD 60 this is when i noticed a big improvement in the sound.
It’s connected via optical now I prefer this to the RCA connection .only recently changed it to optical .i thought the CD dad would have been the better one .Ah, the basic service has limited quality so I'm not surprised it sounded poor.

If connected via RCA then you would be using the CD players DAC.
If connected via digital (optical/coaxial/HDMI) then it would use the amps DAC.
