SPENDOR SA1 VS A5 DRIVERS - SAME?

Hi does anyone know if the midrange drivers are the same in these two speakers?
I know the A5 has an extra bass driver. But if they are the same, the prices seem a bit strange to me with the SA1 and stands costing quite a lot more??

Yes they're the same. I think what you're paying for is the final product in relation to the rest of the market. The A5 doesn't do clarity and speed like the SA1, but the latter doesn't have the extension. Also with the SA1 you're paying for the nicer finish.

aye, i was looking at the a5 and a6 the other day, i was very unimpressed with the veneers available - no where near as good as the ab fab zebrano.

Im very close to selling my speakers and settled on the SA1 but looking at the A5s too.
