Speakers to go with pioneer vsx lx52?

I'm currently trying to decide what to buy for my first complete setup. I'm 99% sure im going for the sammy le40b650 for the panel and the pioneer lx52 avr and blu ray, i just dont have a clue what speakers to pair with it all, budget is around £1200ish any advice would be welcome even your thoughts on the other equipment would be good

On your budget, it's hard to beat the B&W 685 Theatre, which RRPs at £1206, although you should be able to haggle a decent discount.

Perhaps consider upgrading the sub to the next one in the range (ASW610) if you've a larger room.

Any other suggestions? what about the mordaunt short aviano range? i havent had chance to listen to any packages yet but would like to get an idea of what works well with the pioneer so i can set up some auditions

the older 9 series , the mezzos and the avianos have a very characteristical sound to them...either you like them or not..with all amps...
