Speakers for Marantz NR-1402

Hello everyone. I currently have a Marantz NR-1402 A/V Receiver paired with a Polk Audio TSi-300 floorstanding speakers. I feel that the speakers lacks bass. Moreover, I don't have a subwoofer in the system. What is the best speakers that will perfectly mate with the Marantz? Any suggestion? Would adding a subwoofer solve the problem?

Are you saying they lack bass in general, or lack bass for movies?

Hi Frank. Compared to my previous Wharfedales Valdus 400, yes, both lack bass in music or movies. Any suggestion? I plan to add a subwoofer to solve it, but I want your expert advice on this one before I spend my hardearned money.
