can anyone recommend a suitable pair of speakers and cable, plus headphones to partner with a Cyrus 6 DAC amp I plan to purchase ? I have a pair of 10 year old B&W DM602SE's left over from when I upgraded my home cinema system, but I assume these won't do the Cyrus justice ?
I'm looking to add a Cyrus CD transport and Stream X2 later this year too, but music will initially come from an airport express so the Cyrus can tap into my iTunes library (ALAC) as well as my iPhone's Napster and radio apps. I also have a large collection of 24 bit FLAC files on a hard drive.
I rarely play music loud (I live in a small terraced cottage) and often listen on headphones (my Bose Quiet Comfort 15's).
Can be flexible on budget - I'm guessing between £500-£1000 for speakers and cabling, and up to £500 for new headphones ?
