sony v yamaha receiver

Hi all..Thinking of Replacing My yamaha AVr-S80. I have come to 2 choices The yamaha RX-V1065. Or The Sony STR-DA2400ES.

I'm Hearing that the sony has problems with hiss on certain volume levels,,,Your expertise would be much appreciated,,,,many thanks

Don't know about the Sony but the Yahama for me is brilliant for me, now priced at less than £500 if you look around.

I had two of the Sonys. Both were returned as neither would give any decent volume on the centre channel.

Sound-wise there wasn't much in it but the Yamaha has more features (ie the scene functions are really handy, especially if you use the HDMI control with other devices) and I'm very pleased with it.
