Hi All,

I can get the Sony for £250 and the Yamaha for £300 so with only £50 in it I'm leaning towards the Yamaha.

My only issue is the Yamaha only having 2 HDMI in's verses the Sonys 4.

I have SKY HD and a PS3 (presently using this as my Blue Ray player) so that is the 2 HDMI's used up on the Yamaha already.

I hope in the future to add a stand alone Blue Ray player so do you think I'd be better off with the Sony?

Does anyone here have any experience or opions with the Sony STR DG-820 and Yamaha DSP-763 if so I be glad to here your comments.

Since Sky HD cannot send more than stereo via HDMI (it needs an extra optical connection for the 5.1 sound), you can always plug the Sky box direct into the TV if you get a stand alone Blu-Ray player (this of course assumes your TV has 2 HDMIs or more).
