Sony HW40ES 3D issue

I've got Sony HW40ES projector and 3D3 A1111 glasses. 3D doesn't work. The glasses are meant to be IR + bluetooth and they work perfectly well with my Panasonic 50VT65. The glasses don't sync with the projector. Any ideas?

Sorry bigboss, no idea re your problem.

i did wonder though what you thought of your projector and what screen size you have for it? Is it fixed or pull down? I was looking at this projector but failed to convince the wife it was a good idea! Still dreaming of course.

cheers

is to contact the maker of your 3d glasses and see if they can help, a quick search of there website shows that the glasses are compatible with your projector.

Check the manufacturer's page. Although it says TV series, Sony HW40ES is listed.

I confirmed with TPS prior to ordering as well. Anyway, I've ordered the IR ones now. Let's see if they work.

Hello bigboss, as you know, I know nothing about projectors. I did notice, however, that this link to your 3D3 A111 glasses doesn't mention projectors at all, it mentions only plasma and LED TVs. It says RF (radio frequency) and IR (infra-red), but I don't know which of those terms refer to projectors. Halfway down the page it gives a link to check compatibility with your screen, and again, that link mentions only televisions, not projectors.

By the way, if you could let me know on AVF about which departing train to return me to Edinburgh would suit you and your family best, that would be good. Cheap tickets won't be available for ever.

Found this for you:

An RJ45 (best known as an Ethernet connector) is next, but it’s there for an external 3D emitter. This is interesting as Sony doesn’t make a 3D emitter, we looked into this when we reviewed the HW55ES. Sony apparently - See more at: http://www.projectorreviews.com/sony/sony-vpl-hw40es-projector-review-hardware-tour-1/#sthash.7m4zK4HH.dpuf
