Hi all, need help with Sony BDP-S370. I did a firmware update now I am having problems. Turned on player no xbar menu, put DVD in and it started playing but i got no picture or sound. On my amp (onkyo 606) it's says "no signal". Put in a BR disc, no xbar menu, but BR played ok. Did a reset by holding stop button on player for 10 seconds and got xbar back. played dvd, works but only at 480. Tried BR also will only play at 480. Did full reset in xbar menu, and ran easy setup, and i get no hdmi calibration. have emailed sony but no reply as yet. NB: Cables are QED HDMI-P. Please can anybody help!

Fault found..... after trying different cable's, players and TV's it turns out to be a fault with the Onkyo amp. The amp hasn't output OSD for a long, now it seems it can't decode or pass through 1080P it does however pass 1080i from my Sky HD. When turning on the amp it sometimes displays "E2PROM ERROR" Onkyo say repair costs with postage both ways would cost around £200. It's time it went for a ride to the recycle centre. Richer sounds here I come....

marineman:Replaced............Sony STR-DH810

And all working I take it...............??

Sony do come in for a bashing even when it is not their fault, don't they?

The sony is fine. It's the onkyo thats blown. Now i have my usual trouble with the logitech harmony software. It say's i have no internet connection and then connects, get a little way into conection and then comes back and says i have no connection, been at it now for 4 hours. got as far as shaking hands with the remote once, and logitech support is just as c**p as the s**tware.

Logitech software update:

AT LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after 4 hours yesterday and 4 ¼ hours today, I finally got a good connection and completed remote update.

The Harmony software is total c**p.

ALL UP & WORKING..............

Hi,

I have the opposite view on Logitech Harmony software and CS.

Do you have a firewall/anti-virus running while updating the remote?

Do you attempt to work at anything else on the PC while updating?

Cheers,

Cofnchtr.

Hi, I have had so much trouble, I have tried it on various computers, round friends and on
different ISP's. I set-up a basic drive with only windows 7 and the Harmony software, no other software what so ever, firewall is off, shut down all processes not needed to run the computer. And all
I get is trouble. If it does eventually find the internet connection, it times out over and over again. I have tried connecting wired and wireless to the modem. I have had the ISP check the line and there is
no problem with that, I never have any trouble with any other software connecting. I contacted Logitech support and their answer was hard luck, sort it yourself. My answer...I will never buy anything made by Logitech ever again.

Does the F1 software connect to the internet and set-up your harmony one remote control?

And you used the Logitech support Why if the software is so good?

Woops sorry - I meant H1 (not F1) Harmony 1 that is. Using the software is fine - the settings are stored on the Internet yes - on the Logitech website. Setttings are then downloaded to your hanset. An odd setup in some ways but it works well when you need support since Logitech have your settings and can make adjustments for you.

Sorry. it's not to well, it had an accident!............. got hit by a hammer.

GOODBYE LOGITECH (and your so called support team).......No more logitech products for me
