Songbird - remote control.

I have installed the free Songbird Remote app 1.2.1 onto a 3rd gen Touch and Songbird 1.7.3.1700 build onto my Windows (Vista 32-bit) laptop.

When the app is fired up on the Touch, the laptop Songbird isn't recognised. I have tried to download further rom the Songbird site, but am having troubles with opening .xpi files, or think I am. What more need I do?

"Remote" seems to do the same and is free and fully functional.

Thanks, nads. Do you mean the Apple "Remote" app? Yup, apart from a few frewall problems, it's brilliant. But I'm without my NAS for a bit, can't access my whole library and am using Songbird to play what's stored on my laptop + portable drive.

I love Songbird - instant convert - but simply cannot make their app on my iTouch work with the laptop. The problem seems to be opening the .xpi file dowloaded from the Songbird website and this is where I'm out of my depth...

I still can't get the Songbird remote app to recognise the laptop - any ideas?
