Hi there,
looking for some help and advice please. I am looking to upgrade my Sanyo PLVZ4 projector and am tempted by the new Epson TW3500. Having read the reviews it looks like a real bargin and fits the bill budget wise especially with the 3 year warranty including lamp. It should be a real step up in class if my limited understanding of these things is right?
One thing that always worries and confuses me is ratios and throw distances etc. My current projector is ceiling mounted on a Unicol Gyrolock close ceiling fitting. Distance to electric screen 2.34m (92 inches) measuring 80x140cm - 160cm diagonal (31 inch x 55inch - 63 inches diagonal). Having looked at the Epson spec I reckon it will work ok on this relatively short throw distance but if anyone could confirm please.
Have a decent TV for ordinary viewing but love my DVD's BluRay's and HD sport on Sky. I have chewed over a bigger TV instead of the home cinema projector thing but never seen a telly yet at a size or price that could ever replace the true feeling of the projector and the true home cinema experience.
Any thoughts or observations would be really apppreciated. Given some positive replies I might even ask Santa to drop one off later in the month Cheers
